Hi everyone! For those of you that don't know me, I am a long term Richmond resident and an active member of our community. I am also a junior-year nursing student at Norwich University. Last week, for the first time in the nursing program, we were offered an opportunity to go to Nicaragua as part of a mission trip to provide medical care to several rural towns at the end of June. After getting things all set with the select board and Richmond PD, I have organized a 5k on May 7th. This is a laid-back, fun run/walk, where 100% of the proceeds will go towards expenses for the trip (medicines, clothes, services, etc.).

We would love any support from the town in participating in this race! I have spoken with a few businesses in the Waterbury/Richmond area and we will have a few gift cards to raffle off to each registrant. Registration is $20, and we have custom t-shirts that are available for an extra $5 if you're interested!
