Marlboro Cares in conjunction with the Vermont Humanities Council is pleased to present William Edelglass speaking on The Genealogy of Happiness. William will begin with an overview of different conceptions of happiness in Western philosophy, religion, and political theory. He then turn to claims about what makes us happy and will conclude by reflecting on the findings of positive psychology in the context of the history of the idea of happiness.
