Social Band sings of “Rivers, Seas and Dreams,” featuring a premiere by Anna Patton
Rivers, both literal and metaphorical – this is the theme of Social Band’s spring concert series. This choral program features a newly commissioned song cycle by Brattleboro denizen, Anna Patton that sets a selection of poems from the work “Dart” by British poet, Alice Oswald – a work born out of conversations with people who live and work along the River Dart in Devon, England. Join Social Band as we flow down the river with eels, foresters, swimmers and water nymphs.
