Jeanne Thurston: “Contemplative Color Field Painting”
Wolcott artist Jeanne
Thurston’s colorful, 3 dimensional paintings use multiple colors and textures on triangle shaped bars used in top bar hive beekeeping. As the viewer shifts their perspective, they are enticed to contemplate the lush colors, morphing angles, and rising emotions that are part of Thurston's art. She cites the work of Morris Lewis as one of her greatest inspirations.
