Lamoille County Beekeepers Club is Hosting Gunther Hauk of Spikenard Farm and Honeybee Sancutary, Floyd VA for a full day beekeeping seminar. Gunther is a Biodynamic Beekeeper, Biodynamic farmer/gardener, and environmental educator. This event will take place at the Stowe Community Church on Main St. in Stowe VT in the Fellowship Hall meeting room.
Topics to be discussed during the day long event include:
Understanding the colony as one organism
• The vital importance of swarming and having naturally raised queens
• What is wax really; working without foundations
• Mites, hive beetles, foulbrood, etc.
• Treatments and teas
Pros and cons of different hive forms and materials
Bee forage and more
