A community pot luck dinner for those how are going through cancer or beyond treatment will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016, at Northwestern Medical Center in Conference Room 2 starting at 5 pm.
The pot luck is being hosted by Kindred Connections, a group of cancer survivors and care givers who offer support to those affected by cancer. It is often comforting to talk to someone who has had cancer. We are a group of survivors who show there is life after cancer. Caregivers are also supported by Kindred Connections. The stresses of providing care to a friend or loved one with cancer has its own challenges.
Kindred Connections is here not only to listen but also to help, with rides to treatment, or appointments, and to help caregivers.
After the dinner we’ll have a time to share experiences. Participating is not mandatory; just listening is perfectly fine.
Northwest Medical Center is at 133 Fairfield Street in St. Albans.
