The Town of Shelburne’s February 9th Selectboard Meeting is dedicated to discussing and receiving presentations and public comments on the proposed Vermont Railway Intermodal Facility in the heart of Shelburne. The Town, many of its residents and organizations have expressed concerns that include issues of safety, traffic, costs, the environment, noise, the impact on the Town and the attempt to void the Town’s recreational easement on the property. Among those presenting are Vermont Railway, Vermont State Agencies, Shelburne Town Board representatives, environmental organizations, the Shelburne Selectboard, the Shelburne School Board, the Waldorf School and local businesses. Public comment is welcomed. Anyone interested in this project and its impact is encouraged to attend and to consider offering comments. Because so many have expressed an interest in participating, the meeting has been moved to the Shelburne Community School Gym. Tuesday, February 9th 7:00 p.m.
