Open Forum: There will be an open forum on ACT 46: Unification to Achieve Sustainable Governance on Saturday, January 16th from 10AM until noon. The focus of the meeting is to hear public comment regarding the possible adoption of a K-6 structure in each GISU town with school choice for grades 7-12. The meeting will be held in the middle school wing at ACEC (Alburgh Community Education Center). Alburgh residents are encouraged to attend. All island residents are welcomed, as well. We hope to see you there!

Student Survey (From Principal Ross’ January 8th Principal Notes): Pursuant to ACEC policy (code F27), we are notifying all middle school families of a survey to be administered to students in grades 6-8. The survey focuses student opinion regarding middle school opportunities (academic, athletic, social) at their current school and overall middle school experience. The survey will be given in class on January 22nd. The survey does not ask for personal information such as names, address, and telephone number. If you wish to review the survey please contact the ACEC main office or go to www.islandschools.org. Families wishing to exercise their right to opt out of participation in the survey should contact the ACEC main office in writing (email or letter) on or before January 22, 2016.
