“a handful of strings, some pieces of wood, tryin’ to make it sound like we thought it should… we practiced on the tailgates, played out in the fields, entertained our friends till our fate was sealed” Lines from their own self-titled anthem “Chasing 440” aptly describes the roots of this five piece local string band formed in early 2010. Stretching Bluegrass boundaries and occasionally stepping right over them, Chasing 440 brings an energized performance to every stage. Featuring David Benway(lead vocal & rhythm guitar), Mike Ryan (lead vocal, banjo &guitar), Amanda Lynn Ryan (lead vocal & mandolin), Arnold Royea (fiddle)& Mike Fortin (stand-up bass).

And don’t forget, the taproom is open daily at noon for lunch, closed Mondays.
