The holidays are now upon us. While this is a fun and festive time for most of us, we have neighbors here in the Islands (North Hero, Grand Isle and South Hero) that are worried about how they will be able to afford toys for their children and a nice Christmas dinner.
Caring and Sharing/Operation Happiness is a non denominational program which works in conjunction with Operation Happiness in St. Albans here to help these less fortunate families. We will provide food for a full Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings and then some. Families with children will also receive toys that will be collected through Toys for Kids of Vermont.
If you would like to help with this very worthy cause, either by giving your time, or by making a financial contribution, please contact Manon Farnham at 372-9513. No special talents are required, only the desire to help a neighbor.

This year’s distribution of food and toys will take place on December 19 (Saturday) between the hours of 9am and 10:30am at St. Rose of Lima. We are asking that recipients pick up their boxes again this year. Help with wrapping toys is needed on December 18 (Friday) from 9am-?. Help with boxing up food is needed on December 18 (Friday) from 6pm-?. Just show up with lots of energy at St. Rose of Lima, rt 2, South Hero (across the street from Keeler Bay Variety)
