Discussion: The Race for Paris by Meg Waite Clayton
Based on real-life female journalists of WWII, this mix of fact and fiction tells the story of two women journalists and a British military photographer who travel from Normandy to Paris in order to document the liberation of Paris from Nazi occupation in the summer of 1944. They risk their lives to fulfill their ambitions and ideals. The story has a little bit of everything: drama, adventure, romance, friendship, history and personal sacrifice.
Cassie Horner, who suggested the book, will facilitate the discussion. Please join us!
