Knitting Salon with Elanor Lynn

Past event
Nov 14, 2015

Starting on Saturday, November 14th, 2015, I will host a salon on the second Saturday of each month devoted to exploring the vibrant history of knitting as a fiber art. The intense complexity of our ancestors' work and the dynamic fiber community of the past several decades yield an astonishing range of inspiration. Let's share what we know, what we have made and what's currently on our needles. There is only one stitch yet there is no end to what we can do with it. During the first half hour new knitters can learn that one stitch (visit Yarn at 112 Main Street in Montpelier first to pick up yarn and needles http://www.yarnvt.com/), followed by Show 'n' Tell and discussion. The North Branch Cafe (41 State Street, Montpelier) has a lovely selection of fine teas, wine tasting by the ounce, savory bites and sweets. This is a free event.
