The Waterbury Selectboard and Village Trustees will have a joint meeting this evening (Monday) at 7pm at the Main Street Fire Station (use the back stairs). The attorney hired to represent the Towns of Waterbury and Stowe in the process will be presenting and we believe, answering questions.
As background, on October 19th the Waterbury Selectboard discussed the project, a few takeaways:
1) The area of North Hill upon which the tower is planned is in the Waterbury Conservation District. The Town Plan is explicit that no cell towers be permitted in the District!!
2) The town can make their case to the Public Service Board (PSD) and provide supported objections. They can also provide studies tht demonstratet the damage that this tower will do to the area.
3) The timeline for the cell tower apporval process has been extended.
