On Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 7:00 pm, green roof professional Beth Haggart will present “A History of Green Roofs Worldwide” at Ascension Lutheran Church, 95 Allen Road, South Burlington, VT.
The event will include a slide presentation about the history and construction of green roofs throughout history with photo documentation and discussion about this fascinating, ecologically-friendly building technique. A Green roof filters pollutants out of rainwater and slows runoff, cools in the summer, and doubles if not triples the life of the roof below it! A green roof increases biodiversity of plants and invertebrates, and provides a habitat for various birds and is beautiful!
The event is presented by the Ascension Care for Creation committee and is part of Ascension’s continuing commitment to be a positive force for the planet in our community. The event is free and open to the public. Please join us.
