Caregiving for Those with Alzheimer's Talk

Past event

Hi neighbors!

I just wanted to throw out there that my brother will be coming to the area, giving a talk at the Brownell Library in Essex Junction on the topic of caregiving for those with Alzheimer's. He's written a book on the subject ("The Sea is Wide: a Memoir of Caregiving" available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc), and his talks have been well received.

If you are a caregiver yourself, you don't need me to tell you it can be a lonely and confounding process for both the individual with Alzheimer's and the caregivers involved. Rundy's talks are full encouragement, because despite being a 24/7 caregiver for 3 years (right to the end), he has still been able to focus on "things found in spite of what is lost."

So if you or someone you know is caring for someone for Alzheimer's, I think you'll be appreciative for the chance to attend Rundy's talk. (If that date doesn't work for you, he'll also be in Montpelier on Oct 28, at the Kellogg-Hubbard library from 7-8:30.)

Pass it along! :)
