Join the Vermont Transportation Board for a public forum in Essex Junction designed to engage the public in a conversation about public transportation and highway safety. Topics include bus service, the future of passenger rail, the proliferation of car sharing, bicycle and pedestrian safety, and how the legalization of marijuana could affect highway safety. This is one of six public forums being held across the state.
WHEN & WHERE:
Thursday, October 29, 6:30pm at the Essex High School Cafeteria (2 Educational Drive, Essex Junction, VT)
MORE INFORMATION:
Recent trends indicate that both nationally and here in Vermont people are driving significantly less than they did a decade ago, and that their transportation priorities differ from those seen in years past. The Vermont Transportation Board wants to discuss this with Vermonters to determine how future transportation policy can be shaped to best position Vermont to meet their needs and remain both a safe and attractive place to live, work and raise a family.
For those who cannot attend, written comments can also be submitted via email to John Zicconi at john.zicconi@vermont.gov. The deadline for written comments is November 30, 2015.
