Listening Deeply: The Practice of Nonviolent Communication Oct 24-25
Do you want to communicate more effectively at home and at work? Do you want to strengthen your connection with your loved ones and make room for more joy in your daily interactions? Join us for a weekend workshop on Nonviolent Communication: Saturday, October 24, 9--4 and Sunday, October 25, 9--12 at the Burlington Shambhala Center.
Through the practice of Nonviolent Communication we learn to listen deeply to ourselves, we learn to clearly articulate what “is alive in us” at any moment. When we are able to listen to ourselves, we are able to listen to others. NVC fosters respect, attentiveness and empathy, and engenders a mutual desire to give from the heart. The form is simple, yet powerfully transformative.
In this workshop, we will use mindfulness practice as the basis of our exploration of NVC, slowing down our speedy minds so we can feel in order to connect with ourselves and therefore with others.
This program is open to all! The Burlington Shambhala Center is located at 187 South Winooski Ave, Burlington. Contact Bill Gagnon at billgagnon117@gmail.com with questions or call (802) 734-7724. Learn more and register online: http://burlington.shambhala.org/program-details/?id=238342.
