Sponsored by VSA Vermont, BOOM VT is a free community drum festival that brings people with and without disabilities together through joyful music. This year’s festival is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Fletcher Free Library, 235 College Street, Burlington, VT 05401. The festival will feature drum making workshops, drum lessons and demonstrations by professional drummers, and talks about the history and genres of drumming. There will also be hands on art projects as well as sound-adapted drum tables for sound and percussion instrument exploration. The culmination of the festival will be a community drum circle.
