Come for an update on the State of the Bay, the latest TMDL developments, Guest Speaker: John Thurgood, Zone District Conservationist, Natural Resources Conservation Service Vermont, Weed Harvester Report, Election of Officers and plans for the upcoming year.
SAAWA continues to be the only voice in this area consistently advocating for stricter land use regulations and real, restorative action for St. Albans Bay. Your continuing participation will help the Bay receive the focus needed to restore it to a clean state. We are actively engaged in projects aimed at directly improving water quality today such as weed-harvesting and shore cleanup.
SAAWA advocates for practical and real cleanup measures, among other things:
· implementation of strict and sensible land use regulations;
· continued expansion of local weed harvesting;
· blue-green algae remediation;
· shoreline owner weed removal assistance
Please plan to attend if you can. Support SAAWA, meet your neighbors and bring your passion for the restoration of St. Albans Bay and Lake Champlain.
