Please join the Monkton Central School Board for a Discussion of Vermont’s new Education Law, Act 46.

Thursday September 10th 6:30- 7:30pm at Monkton Central School

Monkton Representative Dave Sharp, Chair of the Vermont House Education Committee will come to help us understand Act 46 and the implications for Monkton and all ANESU towns. Act 46 mandates a spending threshold for our next budget and mergers between school districts, among many other issues. This community engagement meeting will be the first hour of the regularly scheduled MCS Board meeting for September. We expect to have other meetings regarding Act 46 either in Monkton, or at the district level as we solicit public input regarding how Monkton and other ANESU towns will navigate the new Educational Landscape brought about by this law.

Bring any questions you may have. All are welcome.

If you cannot attend on the 10th, Representative Sharp will also be in Lincoln on August 31st at 7pm, and the Lincoln Board welcomes anyone to participate at that meeting.
