22 Veterans end their life Every.Single.Day. 22 a day does not mean as much...until one of them is yours.
Sadly, my son, Josh Pallotta, is one of the 22. Josh was a graduate of Colchester High School. He joined the Vermont National Guard and deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom. On September 23, 2014, Josh lost his battle with PTSD and ended his life. Due to the outpouring of support after his death, the Josh Pallotta Fund was created through Blue Star Mothers of Vermont. This Fund will be used specifically to support Veterans with PTSD and hopefully one day end Veteran suicide. We need your support to make that happen.
There are two events coming up to raise funds for the Josh Pallotta Fund: Friday, July 31st: Dinner and Dancing with Karaoke by LeClair's Music; 6:00-10:00 PM, VFW Post #758, Lake Street, St. Albans. $10 per person or $15 per couple.
Saturday, August 1st: The Vermont Veterans Motorcycle Ride; American Legion, 100 Parah Drive, St. Albans.
Ride registration 9:00-10:45 AM, Ride starts at 11AM sharp. $30 per bike (includes passenger and 2 tickets to afternoon entertainment). Music event at 2:00 PM with Jamie Lee Thurston and other great local artists. Suggested donation adults $15, under 12 is free. You do not have to participate in the ride to attend the music event.
Please come on out and enjoy the fun and help us with this most important cause.
Thank you!
