CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON THE 2nd ANNIVERSARY OF THE LAC MEGANTIC DISASTER: Join 350VT in a Solidarity Candlelight Vigil, part of an international event to commemorate the 47 lives lost at Lac-Mégantic, Québec, on July 6th, 2013, when a train carrying a very volatile form of fracked oil exploded in the town. The vigil will be held Monday July 6th from 7PM to 8PM at he ECHO center cul de sac, at the bottom of College street, Burlington. Explosions of oil trains and spills from derailments have been an ongoing issue that affects not only people's lives, but our environment as well. The same bomb trains that destroyed Lac Megantic are traveling every day along Lake Champlain in NY state. Please wear black to the vigil.
