ECFiber is building up the East Valley (Rte 14) Corridor RIGHT NOW! Fast Reliable Internet is finally, actually, happening.
Please come if you are interested in any or all of the following information:
a) you want an update on how the build is going, and when you can be connected
b) you want ECFiber to build down your road and you want to know how to make that happen
c) you want to learn about "investing" (ECFiber is locally funded - you can buy $2500 "notes" that ECFiber pays back over 15 years - with interest!)
d) you want to learn how to sign up, or you want one of the ECFiber people at the meeting to sign you up for service
e) you want to understand the fuss about Why Fiber? vs DSL or Cable
Date: Mon, June 22, 7PM
Place: East Bethel Grange
Topic: ECFiber community build and investment information
ECFiber is holding an informational meeting for anyone in or near the Royalton, East Bethel, South Randolph, Randolph Center, and East Randolph sections of Rte 14 and the associated neighborhoods, including Kingsbury Rd, Crocker Rd, Gage Rd, Clay Wight Rd, S Randolph Rd, Davis Rd.
Also, if you live on or near the routes scheduled to be built later this year: Chelsea Mountain Rd, up Rt. 66 to Silloway Rd, Boudro Rd, Rogers Rd, and then on toward Brookfield and Braintree (via Howard Hill Rd), you may be interested - including Saltbox Rd, Whalen Rd, Kelsey Mtn Rd, and Boudro Rd.
This particular East Valley fast internet build was made possible by a combination of community activism, local investment, and a grant that happened when the Randolph Community and the VTA collaborated. It can be done!
Anyone passed on these routes will be able to connect to ECFiber.
What remains to be decided (by local subscribers and investors) are the local roads and neighborhoods that will be built off of the trunk.
Several ECFiber representatives will make a brief presentation of current status and plans, including build accomplishments as well as build delays, and then there will be ample opportunity for discussion and planning. ECFiber's mission is to ensure that all addresses in our 24 towns have access to fast, reliable internet, but as a local effort, we are doing it one neighborhood at a time.
