Art Talk: Photographer Kelley Taft

Past event
Jun 14, 2015, 2 to 3 PM

Kelley Taft will speak on Sunday, June 14th at 2PM about her photography work. Kelly's show, "The Act of Living," is currently on display at the White Meeting House, 8 North Main Street in Waterbury.

Kelley’s name and work are probably familiar from her years as a vendor at the Waterbury Farmers’ Market. In that capacity, she and her daughter sold cards, handmade soaps and other crafts through their business, The Ripple Effect.

Kelley’s beautiful photographs capture peaceful and joyful images from nature and country life in Vermont. This collection of large format, color photographs on display includes many pieces that are being shown for the first time.

“The impetus to share my work comes from my desire to ignite sparks of joy, wonder, humor, and love – to awaken something in all of us that we can pass on to others in a ripple effect.”

This talk is sponsored by Meeting House Arts and hosted by the White Meeting House. It is part of a collaborative effort to provide more opportunities for local artists to share their work, as well as to provide more opportunities for local residents to enjoy the arts.
