Free Class: Ten Mistakes Beginning Backpackers Make & How to Avoid Them

Past event
Jun 5, 2015

Backpacking can be heaven-on-earth... or it can be pure hell if you do it wrong! Set yourself up for success by learning the common mistakes and what you should do instead. In this free teleclass you will learn why it is a huge mistake to:
Carry an inflatable sleeping pad
Use a water filter pump to purify water
Depend on bug spray to keep off bugs
Wear Gore Tex boots
Eat freeze-dried meals
Leave food in your backpack overnight
And much more!

...And you will learn the safe, effective strategies that will lead to a fun trip into the mountains that is memorable for all the RIGHT reasons!

This class is taught by Murphy, founder of Mountainsong Expeditions, who has been guiding for ten years, thruhiked the Appalachian Trail solo (pictured above), led two group thruhikes of the Long Trail, and taught scores of people how to have fun, be safe, and spend time in the mountains that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

This class will be taught live on a teleconference phone line on June 5, 2015 at 8pm EST. If you can't make it to the live call, you will be sent a recording after the class that you can listen to any time. Sign up at http://www.mountainsongexpeditions.com/backpacking-teleclass.html
