The Vermont Astronomical Society presents: Basic Concepts by Al Boudreau
We will explore the basic concepts of astronomy in plain English. This talk introduces the objects of outer space such as asteroids, comets, nebulae, planets, the Kuiper Belt, the Oort Cloud, and galaxies. We explore in ordinary term concepts such as "lightyears," spectrographs, the speed of light, orbits, and space travel.
Following the main presentation, our recurring monthly presentations will include Constellation of the Month by Terri Zittritsch.
