I read this post and it brought back a lot of great memories of Scouting activities with my son and wanted to encourage everyone with a scouting age boy to attend. Even though it might seem a little old-fashioned, I can tell you that both Greg and I had a great time during his years as a cub scout. He learned some incredibly valuable skills and we both have great memories of his time in scouting, including camping trips, the Pinewood Derby and manning the food stand at the 4th of July parade. We both made new friends and got to know existing friends even better. And I'm still using the toolboxes he made!
