Mulan, Jr. Comes to CBMS Stage!

Past event
May 8 to 9, 2015

Performances will happen this Friday, May 8th at 6:30PM, and this Saturday, May 9th at 2PM, in the CBMS Cougar Cafetorium at CBMS. No admission charge, and come one, come all! Disney's Mulan JR. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor, and the fighting spirit. Defying her family's traditions, and the village matchmaker, Mulan takes up arms and disguises herself as a boy in order to spare her father from having to serve in the army. The Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan, her army buddies, and her mischievous dragon sidekick Mushu to save the Emperor. Based on the animated Disney movie, the score includes favorites like "Reflection," "Honor to Us All" and "I'll Make a Man Out of You," as well as new songs that will get the audience up on its feet! The CBMS production of Mulan, Jr., is partially funded through the generous efforts of GMPA community outreach efforts.

The Crossett Brook Middle School production includes Josie Gillen as Mulan; Anna Alberghini as Mushu; Wyatt Adams as Shang, captain of the troop of Chinese soldiers which Mulan joins; Duncan Weinman, Sam Lord, and Sydney Kulis as Yao, Ling and Qian Po, soldiers who become Mulan's friends; Isabelle Morse as Chi Fu, a self-serving diplomat; Maggie Alberghini, Addie McKibben, Aidan Flint, Sarah Kate Smith, and Alexandra Pendo as Mulan's ancestors who watch over her; Michael Fuller as Fa Zhou, Mulan's father; Abby Colbert as Fa Li, Mulan's mother; Zoe Lemon as Grandmother Fa; Sophia Buonomo as the Matchmaker, Korrina Cummings as the Emperor of China; Willa Yonkman, Michelle Essien, and Cadance Hammond as Hun soldiers; and Taite Plagge, Julianne Young, Kate McCracken, Hailey Messier-Lamson, Sophie Burkhouse, Caelyn McDonough, Siena Mazer, Tanum Nelson, Elizabeth Lord, Ashley Proteau, Kayden Durkin, Jaye Fuller, Josie Rand, and Kaelyn Wood as villagers and soldiers.
