Stowe/Lamoille County Tire Drop-Off
Thursday, October 24th and Friday, October 25th
1:00 - 5:00 PM
Stowe Events Field Parking Lot, Weeks Hill Road

As you look to sell your used tires, the Stowe Rotary Club asks that you consider the opportunity of donating the tires to help our friends and neighbors in need this winter.

The Rotary Club will be hosting the Wheels for Warmth 2024 Stowe/Lamoille County Tire Drop-Off on Thursday, October 24th and Friday October 25th from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Stowe Events Field Parking Lot in Stowe.

An annual fundraiser, Wheels for Warmth was established in 2005 by now Governor Phil Scott as a fundraiser for emergency heating assistance programs. The program has three goals:

1) Raise funds for emergency fuel assistance for distribution to needy families through regional Community Action Agencies;
2) Create a resource of DMV-inspected tires that are deemed safe for at least one season of use, to be sold to needy Vermonters at reasonable prices;
3) Provide a convenient, inexpensive way to dispose of unwanted tires, thereby reducing the number of tires discarded in rivers or along our roadways.

So, please save your tires and bring them to us Thursday and Friday, October 24th and 25th. If they pass inspection and are still usable for at least one more season, they will be sold at the Tire Sale on October 26th at reasonable prices. If they are no longer usable, they will be disposed of conveniently and responsibly for a nominal fee of $5 for car tires and $10 for truck tires.

This is a great way to support our neighbors and friends in need throughout the winter months.
