Since retiring in 2013, Axel Stohlberg has been busy creating a new body of work comprised of paintings, drawings, and assemblages. Whether the work is a play on puns or an exploration of the idea of shelter (physical and emotional), through the familiar shape of a house, both long-time admirers and new viewers of Stohlberg’s work will find a personal connection to his artwork.
