Dear Neighbors,
Please join us this Tuesday, May 5 at either 12:30 to 2:30pm or 6 to 8pm for a community presentation on the Burlington Town Center redevelopment. Based on input from over 1,000 individuals in Burlington since the January 8 public meeting and the February 18-21 public workshops, the owner of the Mall, Don Sinex, and his team have taken your suggestions and moved to some conceptual plans for the redevelopment. Tuesday, Don and his team will present these plans and invites your feedback and further suggestions.
There is a committee of City Councilors and members of the Planning Commission who are working with City staff to ensure public engagement and communication on this important project for our downtown and our community.
We have two opportunities for engagement on Tuesday: If daytime hours are better for your schedule, please join us from anytime from 12:30 to 2:30pm at the Champlain Senior Center on North Winooski Avenue. Representatives from the Mall, City staff and City Councilors will be present to update you and listen to what you would like to see in the mall redevelopment. If evening hours are better for you, please join us at Contois Auditorium in City Hall from 6-8pm for a presentation on the conceptual plans and further opportunity for feedback on your priorities for the mall.
