Dear Neighbors,
On Monday, the City Council will convene its first of three meetings for the month of April. Perhaps more importantly, Monday’s meeting is the first of the Council year and one of celebration as we embark on a new year.
This year’s first meeting, known as Organization Day, is rather historic in that every City Councilor will be sworn in for a new term of office as all seats were up for election this past Town Meeting Day. Our Mayor, and Ward 6 resident, Miro Weinberger, will be sworn in for his second term in office.
The evening will begin with the swearing in of the Mayor and the City Council. The Mayor will give a State of the City address. The Council will elect a Council President and three members of the Council will be elected to the Board of Finance.
