FFL has partnered with Vermont PBS on a series of documentary panel discussions called Community Cinema. In March, we feature "Makers: Women in Space". A panel of science educators including Professor Sylvia Perry from UVM’s Department of Psychological Science, Burlington High School Physics instructor Lisa Sitek, BHS Design Technology instructor Colby Skoglund, Sustainability Academy's science coach Suzanne Weishaar, and Tanya Lee Stone, author of “Almost Astronauts” will discuss careers for women in science and technology, historic and current challenges for women in these fields and educational initiatives to keep female students interested in careers in the sciences, especially in Vermont and New England.
