What: Brick Church Music Series Concert

When: Friday,March 13, 2015, doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Where: Old Brick Church in Williston Village

Cost: $14 at door and $12 in advance ($12/$10 for seniors and children)

Opening Act: Benjamin Kulp is a talented cellist who will be performing several Bach suites. Ben, a Williston native, is active throughout New England as an orchestral and chamber performer. He is a former member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the Miami Symphony Orchestra, and performs regularly in opera, musical, and chamber settings.

Second Act: The Heliand Consort is a dynamic group of virtuoso musicians who perform engaging classical music, from the baroque era through 20th century and contemporary repertoire. This evening's ensemble includes Berta Frank on flute, Betsy LeBlanc on clarinet and Cathryn Gaylord on bassoon.

Hailed for their passionate performances of classical music, the Heliand Consort has appeared live on VPR Classical and WGDR, given interviews on WCVT, and has twice been selected as a Pick of the Week by Seven Days. The Times-Argus described their recent piano sextet performance as “substantial and musically rewarding.”

Visual Art Show: The evening's visual artist is Dan Donnelly.

This concert will benefit the Friends of the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library.

Wonderful baked goods will be served at intermission.

The doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a 7:00 starts. Tickets are $12 in advance (available at the Williston Town Clerks Office Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), $14 at the door. Seniors and children 12 and under $10/$12. Contact 802-764-1141 for more information.

The Brick Church Music Series focuses on fostering community by bringing great art and music to the historic Brick Church while working with non-profit organizations to help raise funds for their worthwhile missions.
