Do you know a young writer? There are so many upcoming opportunities for young people to have their voices heard. We at the library, along with the help of community members and local writers, would like to support children in the process of getting their ideas on paper. This week we will have two workshops in the Hayes room of the Library.
Friday, February 20th from 3-4:30PM (local poet JD Fox and graduate student Alaina Clements)- Kids can drop in to work on poetry . PoemCity is in April and we want many youth poems around town.
Saturday, February 21st from 1:00-2:30PM (Rumney teacher and debut author Katy Farber and community volunteer Pam VanDeursen)- We will be working on prose stories.
As always, we welcome anyone to drop in and check out our programming, but pre-registration is recommended so that we can have an idea of how many children to expect. You can contact me with questions through FPF, via email nwestbom@kellogghubbard.org, during library hours in person, or by phone 223-4665.
