Come learn printmaking at Burlington City Arts! Printmaking classes taught by Richmond local, Katie Loesel (www.katieloesel.com). 2 classes offered this winter:

Printmaking: Feb 4-Mar 11 2015, 6:00PM-8:30PM on Wed Ages 16+, no experience needed
This introductory class will teach techniques such as block printing with linoleum, collograph (a low-relief intaglio technique) and drypoint etching. Students will also be encouraged to explore these techniques and have fun experimenting. Cost includes over 25 hours per week of open studio hours for practicing, and all basic supplies and equipment for each printmaking technique.

Drypoint Portraits: Mar 30-May 18 2015, 6:00PM-8:30PM on Mon Ages 16+, no experience needed
In this class, students will learn the basic fundamentals of portraiture in addition to learning to print from plates using the printing press. Using their own unique style, students will work from photographs and real life. After learning the basics, additional printing techniques to add color will be covered. No printmaking experience necessary.
