“Invitation to the Community to Serve” for people of all ages who want to make a difference in the community by getting involved and realizing the satisfaction that comes with being a volunteer.
Next Sunday 01-11-2015 1030 am-1200 noon at the Shrewsbury Community Church (the Shrewsbury Center Church and Meeting House) the community is invited to participate in a new alternative service. This is different than a traditional worship service.
We will be doing a project for RSVP/VC (Responding to Community Needs through Volunteer Service and the Volunteer Center of Rutland County)
We will be cutting fabric and making Walker Bags and Adult Bibs.
If you have any pieces of Velcro, large buttons, thread, a sewing machine or a pair of scissors to cut fabric please bring them but bringing anything is NOT required.
The finished bags and meal covers will be given to RSVP for Home Health and Hospice distribution in Rutland County.
You need not need to know how to sew to participate. There will be jobs for all who would like to help out.
