The East Montpelier Elementary School Board will be holding another public forum to gather input on the EMES budget from the community. The forum will take place during our meeting on Thursday, January 8th. We will begin the forum at 6pm with a brief explanation of the budget planning process and the variables and challenges facing the Board for the FY15-16 fiscal year. The Board will inform the community as to which aspects of the budget and tax rate we have control over and then the floor will be opened for input from the community. This forum is not intended to be a discussion but rather an opportunity for the Board to hear the priorities, objectives, and concerns of the community regarding the School budget. Please note that the Board will need to vote on a budget after this forum so your input is critical to ensure that the budget we put forth reflects the wishes of the community. We hope that you will join us for this meeting. Thursday, January 8 from 6-7pm in the EMES Cafeteria.
