Friday Night Music

Mar 14, 2025, 6:30 to 8 PM

Another "Friday Night Music" event is coming to the Hancock Town Hall on Friday, March 14 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm when Songs From Summer Camp will be presented by the Hancock Town Pride Committee. Leading the singing will be members of the Seeger family which founded a children's camp, Killooleet, in Hancock in 1948. Known for its long tradition of group singing, the camp is still going strong today.

Song leaders Kate Seeger, Dean Spencer, Judy Seeger, and Tony Seeger will be joined by staff musicians Manny Flaherty and Kim Wallach. Audience members are welcome to sing along or just listen to the songs that have been enjoyed by generations of Killooleet campers. This infectious music is sure to bring back memories of summer camp for many folks, and will brighten up mud season for all attending.

Admission is free; donations are welcome to benefit the Hancock Town Green Summer Concerts. Homemade cookies and cider will be available during the evening. Doors open at 6:00 with music beginning at 6:30.

The next "Friday Night Music" event will be on Friday, April 25 at the Hancock Town Hall, and will feature poetry and music, in honor of National Poetry Month.
