The Waitsfield United Church of Christ will be offering "Ashes to Go" this Ash Wednesday, March 5, from Noon to 1:00 pm, in front of the church.

There will also be an Ash Wednesday worship service that same day at the church at 5:30 pm, including the (voluntary) imposition of ashes. This service will be held jointly with Rev. Erin Reardon and Warren United Church.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the period of fasting, prayer, and penitence practiced by many Christians before Easter.

Both churches are Open and Affirming churches of the United Church of Christ. All are welcome.
