Capital City Concerts presents "Her Favorite Things," on Sunday, March 30, 3PM at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier. In this celebration concert, Capital City Concerts founder flutist Karen Kevra, with pianist Jeffrey Chappell will weave highlights of CCC's history with music of J.S. Bach, Louis Moyse, Camille Saint-Saëns, Cécile Chaminade, and Frédéric Chopin. This concert celebrates Kevra's thirty plus years music-career in Vermont and the strong ties to Montpelier's music scene. The concert will open with a massed performance by a flute choir comprised of some of Kevra's current and former students of Palestrina's "Dona Nobis Pacem" round. The festivities will continue after the concert with celebration cake for all baked by Montpelier's Birchgrove Baking.
Tickets ($15 students-$30 adults) for both concerts will be available at the door or in advance. To order tickets and learn more, go to www.capitalcityconcerts.org
Lastly, a CCC fan has donated student tickets to the concert so that FREE tickets (while they last) are available to student musicians. Please request those tickets by sending an email to info@capitalcityconcerts.org
