Wool Slipper Making Workshop

Feb 13, 2025, 6 to 8 PM

This winter, learn to make your own cozy wool shearling slippers!

I'm teaching a two-part workshop at Wilder Arts on Thursdays Feb 13 & 20 from 6pm-8pm. In this workshop, you will learn how to make a pair of handmade wool sheepskin (AKA shearling) slippers from start to finish. No previous experience is necessary, and we will provide all materials and supplies.

First, you'll get to pick out your favorite colors and textures from our stash of colorful wool sheepskin, and decide whether you want a round toe or pointed toe. Then, we will trace and cut out our patterns, make a durable leather sole, and learn how to stitch the pieces together.

Finally, you'll have the option of staying minimal, OR tending to your maximalist side by creating your own colorful shearling collage to decorate your slippers. You'll leave with a pair of handmade, customized, super warm slippers that will last through many chilly seasons.

This workshop is beginner-friendly. We will be using sharp scissors, mallets, and small metal hand tools, so you'll need to be comfortable gripping tools, hammering, and hand-stitching.

As always, get $5 off when you attend with friends! Share your friend's name and use CraftNight at checkout, and you'll all receive $5 off.

Space is limited!
