Help Save Public Access to Cady Hill Forest!
Did you know there is a proposed 15-acre, 24-unit Eagle Ridge Residential Subdivision pending near historic downtown Stowe? If it passes, access to the popular Cady Hill Forest trail system for biking, snow shoeing and hiking would be restricted and the abundant wildlife animal habitat for deer, bears, etc., would be compromised. Even if you don't use this area for recreation, consider how the development would seriously alter the aesthetic appearance of the hillside seen from the village and as you round the first corner on the Mountain Road. In addition, the accessibility to town water and sewer would have to be considered as well as the added traffic concerns in an already very congested area.
If you want to hear more about how this development would negatively impact this beautiful area, please join us at the Development Review Board Meeting to be held at Town Hall on Tuesday, January 21 at 5:00pm.
Let's voice our concerns and get some answers before it's too late.
