Haiku Workshop at the Vermont Zen Center on Saturday, February 1, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

This workshop begins with a discussion of the components and essential traits of haiku encountered through close readings of traditional Japanese poems. This will be followed by time spent in the Zen Center gardens where participants can take photos and notes to inspire their writing. A period of writing and sharing of work will then ensue. Light fare will be provided.
