You are invited to the Savoy Theater for a Jewish Voice for Peace sponsored film series--the first one is this Sunday, January 5th from 4-6PM. We'll be showing two films (see below). All are welcome! After this Sunday, we will be showing films on January 19th, February 2nd and February 16th.

The Nakba (Vox, 2023, 16 minutes)
This documentary reviews the history of the region from the early 1900s to the Palestinian Nakba ("Catastrophe") of 1948, the year Israel was created.

Tantura (Directed by Alon Schwartz, 2022, 94 minutes)
Tantura was one of hundreds of Palestinian villages destroyed by Jewish soldiers in 1948. This Israeli documentary exposes the public shaming of Teddy Katz, a Jewish graduate student who chronicled the tragedy of Tantura in his graduate dissertation.
