I am speaking on behalf of the SBCC, as I am very excited about our concert THIS FRIDAY!
The South Burlington Community Chorus is pleased to announce our Winter Concert!
The program will feature selections from Vivaldi's Magnificat. Also included in the program will be several "gems" of the Director's choosing.
These include selections from John Rutter's famous compilation "When Icicles Hang", the angelic Anton Bruckner's "Ave Maria", as well as some more contemporary pieces.
To round out the program, the Chorus will sing "Hope for Resolution" originally written as a celebration of diversity from South Africa. It is sung in both English and Zulu and feels especially poignant for these times.
TICKETS MAY BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE ON OUR WEBSITE: http://sbchorusvt.org
Please come and enjoy our music! I have had such fun singing with this choir. It is always so welcoming and kind, and we always end up sounding incredible. In turbulent and scary times, humans have always been singing to cope and to bring joy to themselves and others. I would love it if you, too, could listen to a present day choir convey emotions from the past.
