This Saturday, please join us at the Capital City Grange Hall for a brief Grange meeting (open to all) at 4:30, followed at 5:00 by a presentation by Allison Levin, founder and Executive Director of Community Harvest of Central Vermont . You've probably seen their van around Berlin and central Vermont--it's the one that says "GLEAN" on the side!

CHCV is over 10 years old, and this year expects to recover around 100,000 pounds of food from farmers' fields, using a corps of dedicated volunteers. Much of that will be processed in the CHCV facility on Roger Farmstead, on Rowell Hill Rd. in Berlin. How do they do it? Join us on Saturday afternoon from 5:00 to 6:00 to hear from Allison, see pictures of their work, and find out how you can get involved! After the presentation by Allison Levin, stay for a delicious potluck dinner from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. You know you will be eating anyway, why not make it a social occasion? Bring a dish of whatever you want to share, or pick up some chips or bread and cheese on your way to the Grange Hall. We always have a great variety of food, and friendly people to share it with.
