This year's bumper crop of 63 singers in the Grand Isle County Chorus is pleased to present " Season of Light," a celebration of Christmas music on Friday, December 13 at 7:00 pm, and again on Saturday, December 14 at 4:00. Both concerts will be performed at the Congregational Church of South Hero. Admission is by generous donation at the door -- a portion of which will be passed on to Vermont farmers who were devastated by last summer's flooding.
This marks the twentieth year the Chorus has been led by Mary Jane Wirsing and Chris Leduc, who picked up the baton passed on by Helene and Don Wilder who started the Chorus back in the 1980's. This year Jessica Jackson and members of her musical family will provide violin, cello and saxophone accompaniment, and selections by the Champlain Voices quartet and a handbell ensemble composed of Chorus members will round out the offerings.
Come celebrate and enjoy the sounds of the "Season of Light."
