Central VT OLLI presents Chinese films

Author and film historian Rick Winston presents the Chinese films of Zhang Yimou, director, who is primarily known for House of Flying Daggers. Zhang also made more complex films about contemporary Chinese life and explored the resilience of the Chinese people.

The second film, The Road Home, 1999, is a love story spanning two generations which demonstrates the power of tradition and ritual in the face of difficult, seemingly impossible obstacles.
