Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year, the day of least light. But it also marks the return of light as days start to get longer. Winter is a time to hibernate, to stay warm and return to the earth, to return to the mother of all.

It is a time to reflect, to learn, to look ahead. It is also a time to remember who you are, so that growth in the new year is empowered by your own inner light, by your true Self, and so that life itself is viewed in a sacred and loving manner.

Join us for this candlelit 90-minute workshop which includes: Winter Solstice themed introduction and intention-setting; slow-moving, 25-minute strengthening yoga flow practice; 25-minute restful, restoring yin yoga practice; 20-minute guided meditation and relaxation; Solstice-themed group reflections. Some experience with yoga and/or strength training will be helpful.

Bob Speck is a yoga teacher and personal coach who specializes in integrating the centuries-old wisdom of mindfulness-based yoga with modern-day functional- and pain-free-based strength training practices.
